#GirlinPieces deals with many difficult and dark topics, in a very YA type of way. However, I appreciate that it still felt new and that the author wrote a poor, traumatized and abused main character who somehow fought her way through the darkness. Charlie has a very powerful voice.

Kathleen Glasgow's debut novel completely wrecked me. I finished it with tears streaming down my face and a heart that had been ripped in two during the reading only to then be stitched back together with a sense of hope and optimism. This book is raw and a must read.

I think Kathleen Glasgow did a fantastic job representing people who suffer from self-harm in Girl in Pieces. I don't want to say to much and spoil the story, but I've had some of my friends who suffer from self-harm read it, and they told me that it was fantastic and somewhat therapeutic for them to read it 😊
