I found them fairly easy to solve, though I also know that I read this one as a kid because I remembered the solution to “The Case of the Barefoot Thieves”. As a child who usually went barefoot outside in hot California summers, I remember wanting to test the solution out myself! 👣😅

Tonight‘s #HyggeHour will be spent finishing the last third of Nancy Drew from last week for #NancyDrewBR & then with Encyclopedia Brown for #EBBR
I‘m settled in on the couch & my snack/dessert is a few leftover Reese‘s Halloween shapes & I‘m drinking cold apple cider. Mood is fine, a bit tired &never really excited for Monday but resigned to my fate. 😵💫😉😆

so-soI‘m late to everything this month. 😩 I managed to solve only one case, but in my defense (do I need one?) some of the solutions relied on inaccuracies, and some relied on selective clues. The Case of the Growling Dog irritated me, and The Case of the Tooth Puller made me queasy. But, half-assed solves aside, this has some of the fun analogies that always make me laugh, so it wasn‘t a total waste of an hour. 🤪 #ebbr

I finished this one last Sunday for #EBBR & as usual, pretty much forgot all the cases already & which ones I solved. 🤷🏻♀️ I really do need to review them right after I read them or take notes. I do remember that (***Spoiler***) I didn‘t realize that ALL of the animal facts in the one story weren‘t true so I guess I solved it with the🦘but not completely as I thought I was done.🤔Anyway, they remain fun quick reads.

Overall I liked it but feel the cases don‘t quite hold up quality-wise compared to the earliest ones. The solution to the first story I feel like I have encountered before, in a Colombo episode or something. 😅 The Case of the Girl Shortstop ⚾️ sadden me. I hope today Edwina would be allowed to play on the team.

Reading the Oct Encyclopedia Brown for #EBBR during #HyggeHour tonight & with my extra time, more of Miss Caroline Bingley, Private Investigator (which is quite charming & fun so far).
