I forgot to post last night. From Eleanor Roosevelt‘s It‘s Up To The Women discussing the years after women received the right to vote.

“A vote is never an intelligent vote when it is cast without knowledge.”

Parts of this were very dated ( management of household staff 😂), some were interesting as historical documents (suggested menus with prunes once a day), and some were still timely (purchasing power and the importance of voting.) #NFN

Not a typical pairing at first glance, but once you start reading this book, you can‘t stop!! 🐴📕🐴

This one was just Ok for me.an interesting story, but a little dry and spread over too long of a time period. There was a lot of factual information that was new to me though

Wearing my warm cozy wrap and catching up on Heidi, which I‘m loving, and my book club book which is dragging. I did some baking today and made a carrot cake from scratch with homemade cream cheese frosting.

Just found out this bookstore will be opening this month in the small town I work in. Tagged book is what I plan to look for/purchase when it opens.
