Tonight I made wangun yakni (which looks like brown sludge but tastes delish) and finished THE DAUGHTERS OF IZDIHAR. It was great, though extremely stressful since it deals with women‘s rights. I‘m always so thrilled to find secondary world fantasies that aren‘t pseudo-medieval! This one‘s pseudo-Egyptian with an early 20th century vibe to it. #audiocooking

dabbe #brownsludgebuttastesdelish = FANTASTIC hashtag!🤩 2mo
xicanti @dabbe it applies to so many foods! Nigella Lawson has a whole chapter in one of her cookbooks devoted to brown but tasty dishes. 2mo

Th is book should have been two books. The characters and relationships needed to be fleshed out more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“A Fire Endless” is the stunning sequel to “A River Enchanted” and I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. The world-building was superb and the writing was incredibly done. The ending was also satisfying, and I will miss these characters and the world itself dearly.

Okay. Wow. Did not see the twist coming. Such evocative writing by the author. I could almost feel the wind and mist brushing my skin.

Thank you @HOTPock3tt for getting me into this fantastical duology! #auldlangspine

While I didn‘t enjoy this book quite as much as the first, I did find it to be an engaging, entertaining follow up to A River Enchanted. Ross knows how to weaves tales of magic, possibility, and hope, tales which also contain healthy doses of fear, anger, despair and envy. An alluring world, well--developed characters, and the power (good and bad) of music make for a winning story.

Meshell1313 Yes exactly!!!! Great review! 1y

It feels like forever and a day since I had a moment to sit and read. I‘ve barely made a dent in this book but that‘s about to change just as soon as I post this! 😂📖☕️🌅
