A collection of historical made up maps, propaganda, data viz, political cartoons, art, misunderstandings of geography, and more. Admittedly, I skimmed this book but the maps were interesting to see and the blurbs I did read seemed well put together. A few maps included in this collection felt out of place, but most of them were interesting. #Maps #DataViz

A fun collection of infographics taking a look at the global economy up to 2015. I loved the diversity of graphic types, from graphs to non-graph data viz to explanatory pages drawn like comics or blueprints. Most graphics were interesting and effective, with only a handful leaving me wondering if there was a better way to show the info. I was a little unsure of what country was represented when only one was spotlighted, though. #DataViz

Jer Thorp does an excellent job of examining the benefits and potential (and past) harms of data projects and data collection. He explores the social elements and consequences of data collection and interpretation. I didn‘t read the description going in (very common for me now), so I went into this expecting a much lighter book about data collection and data art creation. I really appreciated what I got instead. #Nonfiction #data #DataViz

Time for dataviz about their books! 😍 I'm loving this whole project. How would you represent your book collection in data visualization? #DataViz

I got inspired by a Bookstagramer to do some year-in-pixel trackers this year for my reading. I don't really need to track my reading this way since I have apps to track it, but I love data cuz and really like the way these look. They look better when other people make them, though 😏

I got inspired by another Litten's book tracker drawing earlier this year (and I keep forgetting who's even though they've recently posted an update on said dataviz!) and decided to make my own for #LGBTQ+ reads. These are all of the #QueerBooks I've read (I think). It's a little messy from being left open on various counters (combined with my messy work style that I can't escape!). Might redo it later to fix that! #Dataviz #BookGraphic

Lindy Nice! I like your colour coding too. 4y
Bookzombie This is cool!! 4y
Andrew65 This is great 😍 4y
Kenyazero @Lindy Thanks! I was hoping that it would add an extra layer of data to the bookshelf. 4y

This quickly became a favorite in my comic and graphic novel collection. This is an excellent exploration of discovering the gender queer identity and finding how to best express and live that identity. I'm thankful to Maia for sharing this journey with the world. There are also some AWESOME data viz in here, my favorite of which is Maia's bookshelf. #genderqueer #lgbt #lgbtq #lgbtcomic #graphicmemoir #uniquecomic #dataviz #queerbook #queermemoir
