This isn't about the selected book.

I got a good amount of the #pantone2024 colors that only 3 were missing this year!
Woohoo 🎉🙌🏻 so I'm very pumped for this year's go around 😀

As a continuation of my last post, I thought I had finally pulled off my 30 book goal in the last two days only to find out that a book had been catalogued twice and alas I only reached 29. However, I will not be rushing to finish it this year as I feel that doing so would take away the fun and point of me setting these goals. I want to hit the goal because I was loving what I was reading, not to say I got to a certain number. So good job me (:

Man I had really fallen off the band wagon with posting on here…I‘ve made some significant progress with the Pantone Colour challenge! I read a wide variety of books (which is not very common for me) as well as rating some very high and very low. I started the year off strong, even thinking I may read more than my 30 book goal on Goodreads. However, the last half of the year I really slowed down and even got into a bit of a reading rut..

Repost for @Lauredhel

Ok people, the #Pantone2025 #readingchallenge is ready! This is a challenge based on the seasonal trend colours from Fashion Weeks.

Please note there are TWO grids - for London (blue border) & NY (green border). Later, two more grids will be released for autumn/winter trend colours. To play, just find a colour in a book cover then plonk the cover into the grid. That‘s it, you‘re done!

And, yes, White Grape was in both!

mariaku21 For everyone using Storygraph, I just saw that Angleslist is hosting the Pantone 2025 challenge over there. https://app.thestorygraph.com/reading_challenges/2a8f2871-9809-42a8-9d8e-ab91b10... 1mo

OriginalCyn620 Yay! 😀 2mo

PaperbackPirate I should try again! Thank you for hosting! 2mo
Lauredhel @PaperbackPirate IDK if I'm even “hosting“ as such, I just hurled these colour squares roughly at a page and released them into the wild :D

Make sure you get both grids, and stayed tuned for the second batch of colours down the track (I've added you to the tag list)
2mo
TheAromaofBooks Yay!! I love the way you have this set up to make it easy to add the books!! 2mo
Lauredhel @TheAromaofBooks Look I may have absolutely zero talent and even less knowledge in the design field, but I'm not gonna let that stop me 2mo
TheAromaofBooks This is literally me on Canva every day 😂 2mo

mariaku21 Count me in! I love trying to match as many as possible 2mo
Lauredhel @julieclair LOL, it's not quite my colour, but maybe socks? 2mo
julieclair Socks work! 👍 I was also surprised by the number of darker Autumn colors in both the London and New York palettes. 2mo
Lauredhel @julieclair Apparently the inspiration for LFW was supposed to be fresh and optimistic? While NYFW was drawing from the natural world/eco-inspired. The bottom five shades in each are supposed to be “seasonless“ neutrals
2mo
julieclair So interesting! I like the London colors better. Maybe I‘m just a “fresh and optimistic” person! 😂 2mo
