🎹 We have a piano in our house for the first time. It‘s been 48 years since my Mom has played. She bought herself a few books of music to play Christmas Carols & see if she could remember & play. Listened to this at work today, and I always love how Scrooge rediscovers the importance of family, friends, and community in this story. And it hit a little harder this year, for me.

The sheer power of human connection and compassion are central in this story.

I would like to introduce you all to one of the greatest Christmas traditions of my household.

Buy a chocolate orange at the start of the month, and you wait. When the frustration gets to be too much, and this year it‘s 2020 in general, an online seller shipping you a “signed copy” that is DEFINITIVELY NOT signed, and delayed packages everywhere, you pull the orange out of the pantry and slam it down on the counter as hard as you can.
