I did a lot of rereading this year! I love revisiting my favorite characters, and I was so glad for the #HPchapteraday group to prompt me to get back to Hogwarts! Which is my #magicalsetting day 9 because there‘s no place better!
I loved The Handmaid‘s Tale tv series too, which got me to pull this battered fave off the shelf again!

I‘ve re-read a LOT more this year than I usually do, in large part because of #hpchapteraday and #LOTRchapteraday. I have so loved revisiting these series by reading along with Litsy buddies! The other four non-series re-reads above were for my book group, so this year has seen a lot of buddy re-reading going on. 😊

My only rereads this year were the entire HP series and The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series. Both were done as chapter-a-day buddy reads.

For HP, I read the first 2 as the gorgeous new illustrated versions, and then switched to Jim Dale‘s excellent narration of the audio versions for the rest of the books.

I used the LOTR readalong as an excuse to upgrade my books to lovely new hardcovers. 😃

Not sure why Phoenix chose this moment to try and eat my tiny tree 🤦🏽‍♀️ but here it is with all the books I reread this year.

Reread Long Time Coming by Robert Goddard for a Group Read and still loved it as much as the first time. A great read of like you thrillers with a bit of a historical back drop. Totally recommend this book and author. #allthebooksof2017 #booksyoureread

I would love to reread more often, but sometimes I don‘t get the chance. I do choose #comfortreads sometimes when I am stressed out or sad, and this year, these fit the bill. Technically, I read the originals approximately 9238 times as a pre-teen, and I read the graphic novel adaptations this year. They were fun and nostalgic and comforting. #booksyoureread #allthebooksof2017
