@Cinfhen

squirrelbrain I know that feeling when you get too many books going at once... 4y
rabbitprincess I‘ve been like that as well this weekend! Kept picking up and putting down books. I think I‘ve settled down a bit though. 4y
Sace @rabbitprincess @squirrelbrain And I really didn't mean to do it! I go through periods when I can't resist readalongs. I can't seem to stop myself and then I feel overwhelmed by it. I need to learn some self control because even now I find myself tempted by the author a month Ray Bradbury readalong 🙄 4y

Ruthiella But then it is so satisfying as you tick them off your list....😬 At least it is for me! 4y
Sace @Ruthiella That is true too. 😂 4y
Daisey I know what you mean. I kind of want to just finish Libertarians on the Prairie or Pride & Prejudice to get them off my currently reading list. 4y
Sace @Daisey Confession - I went ahead and finished LOTP today 😏 Now I have to try not to pick up another book! 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I started The Thinking Woman's Guide treats ago and just couldn't get more than 50 pages in. Does it start slow & get better? 4y
Sace @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I am really hooked on it, but yes.... It does start rather slowly and its just....trippy and weird for a while. 4y

Pickpick

I'm not sure what the fuck I read, but I liked it. Schweblin's writing style is very abstract, which makes it difficult to follow. However she is excellent at building tension to the point where it feels like psychological horror. Great to read in one sitting, it felt like I was in the two main characters' heads living through the ecological nightmare they experienced that led to them staying in the same room of a hospital together. Creepy af. 🐴

saresmoore Ha! That's a fabulous opening line for a review. 7y
BookishFeminist @saresmoore So accurate tho!! It's been the consensus of everyone I know who's read it too 😂 7y

saresmoore And that makes me want to read it even more! Hahaha! We're all mad here. 7y
Aquedita This is on my TBR for August for #WiTmonth :) 7y
emilyhaldi Sounds good!! On my list 👍🏻 7y
ReadingEnvy It's so strange. I read somewhere that the author wrote it in reaction to the environmental disasters lack of regulation have caused in Argentina, particularly water pollution. That helped... some. 7y
ApoptyGina69 Agreed! Weird, but enjoyable. 7y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @ReadingEnvy That is so interesting and makes total sense. I just read my review and I said I got climate change and pre apocalyptic vibes....cool ! (edited) 7y
