1. Bryant‘s Homer‘s Iliad, published by the Riverside Press in 1870. I also have 3 editions of the P. F. Collier publication of the Works of Charles Dickens, also from 1870.
2. Newest would be my copy of If It Bleeds by Stephen King!
3. I don‘t know. I have a first edition of The Stand and one of In Cold Blood, but prices vary wildly when I look them up, like from $20 to $900! 🤷‍♀️
4. Hard to choose, but Sense & Sensibility!

1. A set of Dickens‘ works in 6 volumes from 1875 📚
2. The Promised Land by Barry Maitland (Brock & Kolla series)
3. I have several books written by a former boyfriend, but the only novel he wrote is the most valuable to me, as he died recently. Est value? Priceless, I‘d say ♥️
4. There‘s so many, but to name one: The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana by Umberto Eco (perhaps it‘s more interesting than pretty? 🤷🏽‍♀️)

@squirrelbrain 👋

gradcat @Klou Thanks for the tag! I had to give this one some thought, so I mulled it over for a bit, but better late than never, right? 😂♥️ 5y
Crazeedi I still need to do! So you're not late! 5y

gradcat @Crazeedi This one took some time for me...it required some thought on my part, but I really enjoyed reliving some bittersweet memories. I hope you enjoy doing it as much as I did...♥️ 5y

If It Bleeds | Stephen King
post image

1) A kids book called Emergency Mouse

2) In print, I think If It Bleeds but there was also a pretty aggressive Book Outlet order and I have been terrible with buying ebooks 😬😬😬

3) I think Emergency Mouse. My sister argued about taking it, but it was given to me as a child. My dad thought about buying a copy for her but when he looked it up, he changed his mind. It is out of print and was illustrated by Ralph Steadman.

#bookbrag @SumisBooks

BeansPage What is the Emergency Mouse book about? 5y
Reagan It‘s about a little boy who is in the hospital and is scared at night. He thinks he hears something and there is a full mouse hospital happening underneath the beds on his ward. I bet my dad read that book to me every night for years! And I think my mom said I told them I could read it but had just memorized it. Definitely the start of a life long love of books. 5y

Thanks for the tag @wanderinglynn.

1) I think it's a history book about German history from the late 1930s. So, it's kind of special because it has lots of biased content. My father found it while clearing out an old house and gave it to the family bookworm. 😉

2) King - If It Bleeds

3) no idea. Maybe the book mentioned in 1) but I guess it's not worth much

4) One (!) of many: tagged - Six of Crows

BeansPage Great answer sweetheart! ❤️ Thank you for playing. 5y
ImperfectCJ Wow, the book for 1 would be quite interesting! 5y
julesG @ImperfectCJ Cringe worthy, more like it. So many fake facts. 5y
ImperfectCJ @julesG It's always strange (to me) to look back at things from that time and realize that the stuff we know happened after hadn't happened yet. It's easy to see the progression now, but at the time maybe it wasn't so clear. Or at least it wasn't clear to everyone. Makes me wonder which events/attitudes from the present will seem like that in 70 years. 5y
