This gorgeousness is a Lily Roll - shrimp tempura sushi with crab and avocado on top. It's amazing, and just looking at it is making my mouth water. I thought Sushi for Beginners was an appropriate pairing! Also a super cute book. #17booklove #bookandmealilove
Had to use the movie tie-in cover because I never knew this was a novel until recently. I was 11 when the movie came out and this was certainly not in my school library or perhaps not in my approved reading range haha #BookAndMealILove (chocolate can be a meal... right?) Regardless! I now have to read the novel because they're always better than the movie and the movie was excellent!

I'm #vegan, and it just so happens that I can eat practically anything I used to, minus the animals. #friendsnotfood
My staples haven't changed, though. I love starchy foods. Potatoes. Bread. Pasta. I only had one photo at the ready of whole wheat spaghetti with diced tomatoes. At 7am, it will have to do.

#day8 #17booklove #bookandmealilove I don't make it often but this is THE best brisket campfire chili recipe..... made with dried ancho and chipotle chilis, taught to Jamie by some Wyoming Cattle drivers... I tweaked it a little (no beans, and switched coffee out for some chocolate stout!) but it's a winner in its original form too... The whole book is great too... part travelogue part cookbook... 🌶🌶🌶💕💕💕
