pickAt times emotional, other times cross! The tale of a man walking through the out back, working as and when, sleeping anywhere and encountering dubious but interesting folk. Whilst bringing his young daughter with him... the ending was brilliant!
I enjoyed it and glad ivecread it. Might be tempted By the film...
Sticking with the Aussie theme...
Chose this partly because it has hints of The Road.in it, the idea of man and child walking continuously. Also because the publisher is very local and independent. I browse their shop and attended a book spa there ☺☺☺😊😊😊
This book was published in 1985 so it's a bit dated now, but still a good resource and full of lovely pictures relating to the books and authors. #AugustIsATrip #Australia

I was presented with this illustrated book of short stories at my high school graduation in 1988. It‘s precious rather than collectible because I received it for getting the top mark in English. The inscriptions from my English and English Literature teachers make it precious to me too.
