Afterward by Edith Wharton 🌟🌟🌟
Pretty much your average ghost story. 🤷♀️

I‘m not exact sure how I feel about this one. I really loved the main character, Charlie; and I definitely see some value in the story, but I felt like it would have been just as powerful without a lot of the graphic imagery and excessive drug/alcohol use. I can see why it was banned in school libraries. #Booked2020 #BannedBook #AtoZLitsy (Letter P) #readingwithmaja #yafiction #june
This is the story of a woman tasked with finding the owners of lost things collected by her benefactor and two love stories intertwined. It was supposed to have an element of magical realism, but I didn‘t see it. #AtoZLitsy #readingwithmaja #setineurope
I only read Night as of yet. I need time between these. Truly heartbreaking, not only because of the traumatic experience of the holocaust, but also because of his loss of faith in God. 😥 #AboutGenocide #Booked2020 #AtoZLitsy
I‘ve finally been able to finish a book after making about a billion masks! So...this is an interesting depiction of New York in the 1960s. I believe it takes you through all five buroughs. I also learned a new word: semaphore. The story is okay, but the historical depiction is where the value is. #NewberyEpicChallenge #AtoZLitsy (Letter I)
Sweet and heartwarming, but takes you on a roller coaster of emotions before you get there. ❤️ #AtoZLitsy (Letter Y)
This was just meh for me. I might have enjoyed it more if I hadn‘t listened to it on audio. The narrator really bugged me. #AtoZLitsy (Letter W)
This is a delightful little story about the wonder of imagination and all the interesting things you can find in your own backyard, even if all it contains is a weed and an old tomato can. Reminiscent of The Wizard of Oz as well. #ChildrensClassicRead2020 #AtoZLitsy (Letter T)
