⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ok, so not that scary but I would totally be creeped out if my favorite snack started following me around! Great illustrations.
pickThis is definitely a strong sequel to The Killing Lessons! But it lacks some of the immediacy of the first book and I figured out who the killer was WAY early on! When we think of #Ascarybook our minds tend to go to novels by Stephen King or Shirley Jackson, but there are very scary graphic novels as well. Few books disturbed me as much as Alan Moore‘s “Swamp Thing” run, where he gave us creepers like The Boogey Man, as well as the horrifying moment when a monster was born... “Yes... I... have read... the file!” 😱
I don‘t read horror any more, so the scariest books I‘ve read lately have been nonfiction. She Said and Catch and Kill are both about Harvey Weinstein, sexual harassment (and worse) and the ways that women have been silenced. The Whisper Network is a fictionalization of the same topic. They are scary to read, but very worth it. #AScaryBook #FallisBooked
Starting #Ascarybook during scary weather!! We have no power, 60 mph winds, and trees down all over... if you look closely you can see a trampoline wedged between two trees... thankfully we are safe!!

This was one of my first Dean Koontz books and the one that made me a lifelong fan! I remember reading it in middle school and it scared the bejeezus out of me! 😱
