A Friday without the kid means time to finish a book. I really like Alex Cross and how quick the books read. Interesting and unexpected twist! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great story. Vivid descriptions of location: New York, DC, and Boston. The intertwining of other story lines in other books was brilliantly executed.

Yep! I liked it. Of course there are a few problematic things but it was written over 30 years ago.
The pages turned quickly and it kept my attention. Can‘t wait to read the next one!

TrishB Hi 👋 I didn‘t see your other posts, but lovely to see you back! The Women‘s Murder Club series is also a good Patterson read. 1mo
bookaholic1 It does get better and I agree with TrishB 1mo

After years of avoiding James Patterson I‘ve decided to give him a try. 😲

Traci1 That's a good one to start with. His best in my opinion. 2mo
tpixie I love the Alex Cross series. I don‘t read his books that have a co- author. Alex Cross‘s early books are darker than the later ones- I suspect to make them more commercially successful. A theory of mine. 2mo

• 319 pages • first pub 2023 • fiction • mystery • thriller • 4.5 Stars

“Drop whatever you‘re doing, Detective Cross, and head to Reagan Airport,” DC Metro Police dispatch says. “A jet just crashed and exploded on the runway. The chief and the FBI want you and John Sampson there pronto.” Cross and Sampson race to the crash site. ⬇️

suvata The plane didn‘t fail—it was shot down by a stolen Vietnam War-era machine gun. Detective Alex Cross is in the sights of the Dead Hours Killer, a serial murderer on a ruthless mission. The list of experts who can operate the weapon is short. And time before another lethal strike runs even shorter. Especially for Detective Cross.
