julieclair @TEArificbooks Do you usually do well with it? I‘m worried I‘m going to get distracted by aaalllll the fiction. 1mo

TEArificbooks Yes I‘ve been able to do it for a few years now. It is one book a month minimum. If you go to my page you will see the ones I read this year. There are lots of narrative nonfiction out there, makes it seem like you are reading fiction not a textbook. 1mo

Gissy I‘m in the same boat, every year trying to read more nonfiction. I established a goal of at least 5 nonfiction this year. But I will follow your progress and see if I can do it next year😳☺️I don‘t know if I just want to escape reality wanting to read mostly fiction😳🤣🤣🤣🤣 1mo

TheAromaofBooks Add me to this challenge, please!! And actually, you posting the Dewey categories got me thinking - 11 categories, what if I read a category a month and December is free? Believe it or not, I actually have my jillion NF books sorted by Dewey so it should be easy to do 😂 1mo

julieclair @TheAromaofBooks Good idea. @willaful also mentioned that. I think I‘m going to add the Dewey categories as bonus prompts in the SG challenge, so people can track the categories as an optional activity. 1mo

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick In 2025, I'd like to read 96 books, with 6 of those being non-fiction, and my monthly country overviews for #foodandlit will not count. 😁 If this year is kind to me and I can carve out more reading time, I may increase both numbers, but I may partially join you. 1mo

And he mentions what he intended to say in regards to the Nikki Haley comment that lead to his firing #2024 #memoir #religion #nonfiction #politics

Oh my goodness, @dabbe !!!! My #HauntedHollowSwap contained so many fabulous gifts, I can barely fit them all into the photo collage! But I had to include the magnetic vampire S&P shakers in both poses... apart and kissing. What a hoot!

How could you possibly have known I have been wanting a two tier tray to display seasonal decor? It looks so cute all set up! And the diamond painting... you really are a good stalker. 🧡 The two books are ⬇️

I wasn‘t sure at first on this book, but the more I read, I started to see a full vision of what could be. I think a lot about the type of home we are creating for my kids-the environment, stretching, encouragement, etc. This book gave some excellent guidelines and ideas to help make our home a place where our kids can thrive!

Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough | Kay Warren

Sometimes joy has to be a choice, and this was one of those weeks! I went to NYC with two friends, and the trip felt like 30% enjoying the city and 70% interpersonal conflict. So for this #5JoysFriday I‘m choosing to focus on the joyful moments!
1. Kayaking on the Hudson River
2. Wandering around Little Island at night, listening to some jazz and enjoying the views
3. Eating Smoked Pork Belly Ramen at Momofuku
4. Visiting the Met
5. Coming HOME
