I loved this book! Totally worth the hype! I was laughing and crying throughout parts of this. Though focusing on two individuals in the spotlight, McQuiston does well making everything seem so realistic. The complications. The secrets. And, the trust and hope in this book. A perfect distraction read.

#Xander helped me finish the book. #catsoflitsy

Shaking off my #dayfromhell by dissolving into some great books. Finished this debut novel from British author Lucy Foley & I quite enjoyed it. Set on a huge estate in the Scottish Highlands At Hogmanay(NYE)it‘s a whodunnit when everyone had a reason to want her dead. Guessed it halfway through, but as a debut it‘s pretty good. A beautifully written book that pulls at the heartstrings. I could see my 13 year old self reflected in June and the notions of a lack of self worth and heart breaking unrequited love. Her relationship with Toby was completely believable and you can't help but be touched as their friendship blossoms. And yes, there were tears at the end. A truly lovely debut novel.
