“Well, maybe not a world champion. And maybe not a champion at all. But I‘m good. Very good.”
This graphica is about karen, a second grader, who loves to have fun with her friends. In this book, the author explores adventures on her roller skates. Overall, this book is fun to read but not my favorite.
$6 for these beauties. Building an area in my office with books kids can take home and keep after our session for the little book lovers. Library sales are a favorite place to look for books 📚 A few of the adult books looked lonely so I saved them too.

This would be a perfect fall read, and Luthien thinks I‘ve stayed up too late reading the rest of it! Anna is a teenager in a family with psychic powers that also run a bed & breakfast. She meets Colin, who is just now learning his own connection to magic after the murder of his parents. Together they work to find the killers. The book has a sequel, but it also works very well as an independent story.

A cute exploration of one crowd-pleasing rabbit‘s struggle to make friends with a neighbor she admires. Not necessarily a pick for me, but definitely well suited to the target age group. I love the references to their favorite magical girl anime. I slipped this in for my #RushathonChristmasBingo free space. #Comics #YoungReaders
This was a hard one for me to rate because I thought it was a fun story, but at the same time, it didn't feel developed enough. It didn't have much depth, which is fine in a middle grade book, but I think it would have made the book richer. I didn't find it memorable. While being something I really wanted to enjoy, I felt indifferent toward it. I'm going to read the next book, and maybe that will help sort out my mixed feelings.
