Welcome to Litsy!

So continuing my backlog of reviews... This is Book 2 for #13books13weeks. There was a lot of love all over Litsy during one of the readathons, I thought I‘d give it. This is the second graphic novel I‘ve read, so not a lot to compare it to, but I really enjoyed it. The story was intriguing and the characters were well developed. The illustrations just added to the story (I was afraid they‘d be distracting).

Honestly I don't know what took me so long to finish this book. I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe it was just because work was so stressful that I had a hard time following the book with the time traveling when reading after work. I finally finished it to finish the first quarter of #booked2018 #unconventionalromance

This was an easy nice read. Not the passion I was expecting and I will say this was a very unconventional romance, but anything is possible if you ever watched married at first sight.

This is my second Waters book and I really enjoyed it. The novel begins after WWII and follows the characters backward in time. I thought the unconventional timeline worked really well, revealing secrets and what led them to be the people they are in the first part of the novel.

This is my last book for the first season of #Booked2018 ! #unconventionalromance 🎉

Even though “Dex and Em” frustrated me for a majority of the story, they still kept me entertained. I enjoyed the format of glimpsing their lives on one day over the years, full of ordinary moments, and seeing their growth as people and friends.

I‘m a little early with this #FreakyFriday read, but I was already planning to use it for my #UnconventionalRomance for #Booked2018. #MountTBR

I was assigned to read this book 16 years ago in my Modern British Lit class. Well, I have finally finished that assignment! 😜
You know how an ending can make or break a book? Well that‘s what happened here. I was fairly convinced that this book was a solid meh, but I enjoyed the last twenty pages or so. Apparently I‘m a sucker for a happy ending—gets me every time. #UnconventionalRomance #Booked2018

I was searching the #unconventionalromance hashtag and realized that I read Mrs. Fletcher in February and could use it for this prompt. So that‘s that and the rest are in the picture. Now I can plan for the next season! #booked2018

This was a nice book to read in between heavier stuff. I needed a break last night so I picked this up and could have easily read it in one sitting had I not been so tired. I loved the concept of Levithan literally writing a dictionary based on a (fictional) relationship. It was sweet but searing. There wasn‘t enough of a plot to get invested in the actual story, but enough to make it realistic and bittersweet. Great readathon choice.

Loved this leather, illustrated hard copy of this classic. I would think this should quality for #prompt6 #UnconventionalRomance #booked2018
