A cozy mystery set in 1930s Singapore. In all honesty, I read this less for the plot, and more for the setting and main character, an independent young local girl and amateur sleuth who works alongside the police.

Sadly, I felt the portrayal of the teenager with learning difficulties could have been (lots) better.

I would, however, give her books another try sometime.

Remarkable Trees of the World | Thomas Pakenham

#DearDecember #Treesinthetitle Pakenham travelled for 5 years around the world to photograph and study these incredible trees some famous, some not .It always brings me joy to browse this book.I appreciate all trees more seeing them from Pakenhams perspective.

rwmg TBH, I think she needs a better editor as I keep seeing historical slips 5y

EadieB @rwmg Haven't notice anything like that but live in the US so the history I am not too strong in. Have read all of them with a group and 2 from UK but they never mentioned anything that didn't add up. 5y
