As far as tough books where sheer readability is concerned, this is probably the toughest I own. Given the cyclical nature of it's construction (supposedly the end feeds into the beginning in such a way that it can be read endlessly), I'd probably be just as well off starting on any random page and seeing how far I get.

trazo 😭🤧😠gosh I feel so sad reading these quotes. Which leads to anger. It is frustrating how quick to judge or belittle people we tend to be. But we strongly lack in our supportive skills, in our warmth and friendliness towards others. And I know this does not describe everyone, but way too many people in our society are cold and mean. 7y

mrozzz @trazo you're right about the unfortunate state of our society and narrow-minded, insecure people who decide to lash out at people who are different than themselves. Getting angry is probably a good way to firm up your moral compass. And if you want to be particularly enraged you can give reading the whole of this book a try 👌🏻 7y

The Hurricane | Hugh Howey

What a #toughtuesday! Started my day with active shooter training at 8 a.m. where a city police officer played audio from the library of Columbine High and video from a shooting at a Bay Co. School board meeting. Then my garage door broke and wouldn't open. To top it all off #Irma might be making its way to the gulf coast. I'm done with this day. Sending good vibes to everyone in Irma's path. Thank y'all for your well wishes.

Natasha.C.Barnes No way! The only "minor" thing you mentioned was your garage door and that just sucks. Everything else is downright traumatic! Cope however you need to, the alternative is bad. ;) 7y

Ghostly Echoes: A Jackaby Novel | William Ritter

I saw all the #ToughTuesday tags and does that ever fit my day! Tuesdays after a closed holiday are always nutty at the library but this one was especially so. I am one mentally and physically drained manager.

I'm going to cuddle in bed with the awesome audio of the tagged book (so good!) and hope for a better tomorrow. I posted a picture of my 13 years young kitty because her face always makes me smile.
