Lots of Terry Pratchett (but none that I have read) and Jacqueline Wilson (I haven't read any of hers). I'd like to read some of each of theirs, and my son has me intrigued by House of Leaves, so maybe I'll put that one on my list, too.

Three I was surprised by how much I liked:
1) Kim
2) All Quiet on the Western Front
3) Heidi

My score reeked. Quite a few are on my TBR; I just haven't read them yet. Three faves:
1. THE ONCE AND FUTURE KING: “The fantastic thing about war was that it was fought about nothing--literally nothing.“
2. OUTLANDER (called CROSS STITCH in the UK): “I am your master…and you're mine. Seems I canna possess your soul without losing my own.“
3. THE 39 STEPS: “The men who knew that he knew what he knew had found him.”

ChaoticMissAdventures I am trying to get to once and future king I think this summer, I have had it for years and just have not gotten around to it. 7h
rubyslippersreads One of my favorite books. 7h
DGRachel I didn‘t realize Cross Stitch was Outlander! That brings my dismal total up to 16. 🤪 6h
rwmg 45 I am at a severe disadvantage never having read any Jacqueline Wilson 5h
BethM I‘ve had Once and Future King recommended to me a few times. 4h

I scored a pathetic 15/100 (19 if you count ones I‘ve tried and bailed), which is mind-blowing when I think of the sheer number of books I‘ve read in my lifetime. I‘m always entertained when Flowers in the Attic pops up. I hated Moby Dick and will never forgive my American Lit professor for “inspiring” me to read it on my own. It took me an entire summer. #tlt #threelistthursday

4. Moby Dick - I read the children‘s version of this book instead of the regular version but I liked this book.
5. IT - I liked this one.
6. The Hound Of The Baskervilles - I liked this one.
7. Les Miserables - I liked this one.
8. Dracula - This book was okay.

RaeLovesToRead @Bookwormjillk Do people outside the UK not know Jacqueline Wilson?????? 🤯🤯🤯🤯 9h
willaful @RaeLovesToRead I do, but I used to be a children's book reviewer. 8h
willaful Only a 29 for me and if it wasn't Terry Pratchett I probably read it for school. -) 8h
peaKnit Only 16, yikes! 😮 8h
BkClubCare I seem to have read most of the well-known classics; scoring 31. Few of the kids books and none of the Pratchett 7h
TheLudicReader 21. Another weird list. 7h
shortsarahrose 9 😆 7h
Librarybelle 15. Plus, am currently reading Les Miserables! 7h
Bookwormjillk @RaeLovesToRead might be my age? The covers looks very 1990‘s. 6h
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Only 7 from this list. A few are on my TBR, and I have seen a few film adaptations. 🫣 These lists make me laugh when they're are so many by the same authors. @RaeLovesToRead As for Jacqueline Wilson, I don't recognize the name, but I read lots of books as a kid that I have zero recollection of reading. 4h

#tlt #threelistthursday I scored 52 that I can remember from this list (I inhaled a LOT of books as a kid/teenager!)
there are a few faves on it but I‘ll pick out Anne, P&P, and Little Women as those I have re read the most often.

Link for quiz is from @dabbe original post

Lauredhel Of course I wanted to add Hitchhikers Guide and Handmaid‘s Tale but it‘s three not five! 3d
dabbe You can do five or whatever number you want! 🤩🤣😍 3d

📚And Then There Were None
📚LOTR - I read the trilogy & The Hobbit in 8 days for honors English bc: procrastination
📚Their Eyes Were Watching God
📚The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - enjoyed this more than I expected.

📘The Handmaid's Tale - it was better when it was dystopian fiction & less instruction manual
📘Harry Potter - author is problematic, but I really enjoyed the series, especially Goblet of Fire

dabbe Love your choices. RE: HP, I just can't rectify that she created such an incredible fantasy world and is so horrible in reality. Thanks for playing and sharing. 💚📚💙 6d
