2. I really enjoy books that prove to be prescient about technology rather than describe what's happening now, so I'll say Hyperion and the Book of the New Sun/Long Sun series.

This is a cute, mostly light trilogy, good for reading after a heavy book. The narrator was absolutely TERRIBLE though. Talked like a child that had lost their front tooth. Thankfully the other two books have different narrators.

When ace shadowrunner Jack Skater leads his team of commandos in a raid on an elven ocean freighter, things get a little sticky. Yakuza hitmen crash the party, and a Japanese shaman whips up a titanic sea creature just to make sure nobody gets out alive. Cover reminds me of the aliens in MIB

Ok, I don't really participate in the #24in48 Challenge, but I like the idea and it's motivating. So today I read a #shadowrun #shortstory in one hour.
