For a little #selfcareSunday I took a neighborhood walk this morning before it gets too humid & listened to a few chapters of the tagged book.

A few pics of the “sights”—flowers in yards, a cattle egret strutting on the grass (I love to watch them) & the view into the neighborhood from the bridge overpass on the highway.

I‘m back!!! {{Sort of}} Between jet lag, migraines and overall stress, I haven‘t picked up a book or listened to an audio since last Sunday!! So NO #BookReport this week but here are the two books I‘m hoping to finish before the month ends. Petal is for bookclub on Wednesday and tagged audio is GREAT but my headspace is 💩💩💩

Centique I‘m glad you‘re back! Hope your head space is getting better 💕 Poor old dad is out of hospital but they didn‘t manage to rehabilitate him to his previous abilities - so he‘s not coping well back in his new apartment - and it‘s still lockdown so no family assistance. I think he probably needs to go into a full rest home facility so a decision on that is the next thing. Hopefully he‘s coming to accept that idea too 💕💕 3y

Cinfhen I‘m really sorry to hear that your dad is having a rough time @Centique and the lockdown situation only exasperates everything. It‘s so upsetting to hear/ watch/see our loved ones get old and to realize they are losing their independence. I pray your dad finds peace in the coming days and begins to feel stronger. You too!!! Adulting sucks sometimes but here's something NO ONE tells you...you can buy cake whenever you want! Had a shitty week and dreading the week coming? You can take your adult money, buy something ridiculously rich in chocolate, sit on the couch, watch trash TV, listen to an #audiobook and just blissfully ignore everything for a while. There's no one to tell you no! Buy the damn cake and enjoy a bit of happy 😊

#BFC21 update: July was a good month overall! 1. I read 11 books (9 was the goal) 2. I meditated every day 3. I completed the Mindful Eating course on my meditation app, and learned some helpful tips 4. I‘ve done #selfcaresunday each week 5. I fell short each week of my 150 minutes per week of exercise 🤷🏻‍♀️

So, I had a couple of good weeks in April and a couple of not-so-good weeks! I hope to do better in May! My #BFC21 goals for this month are to:
1. Read 7 books
2. Meditate every day
3. Exercise 150 minutes each week
4. Make an appointment with a nutritionist
5. Do #selfcaresunday each week
