Dunkle and have read it several times since. so-soI wish I could say I loved this book as much as I loved its stunning cover but... I just didn't. I didn't hate it either. I do think the idea for the story showed promise. The setting is interesting and I found the Goblin King's character intriguing. I loved that music played such a big part. Unfortunately, though, Wintersong also had an annoying protagonist that I just wanted to shake some sense into. 😠

I'm so in love with this Wintersong candle from The Melting Library! And this label is just BEAUTIFUL. 🥀💙 I wasn't a huge fan of the book itself, but I loved the Labyrinth-inspired retelling behind the actual story. I finished reading this book two days ago and I'm still wrapped up in the story & characters. It was a bit slow moving - and I had some issues here and there - but it's overall an emotionally intense, beautifully written, and enthralling read.
