so-soCharacters are likable and realistic, and I like them more and more after every book.
I am not a big fun of this kind of crimes: deaths that have happened during the war. They doesn't feel intriguing enough, somehow. That made this book worse than the first books in the series, this was boring. And then there was a side story that had nothing to do with the main plot and felt super unnecessary.
I still love the setting!

pickThis has got to be one of the best Ruth Galloway mysteries, yet. Have we reached the end? It feels like it, but I think that‘s OK. There‘s a murder to solve, of course, but, personally, I was more interested in the involvements of all of the characters that I have come to love. No spoilers, but that ending had me balling. All is as it should be. And I will forever wonder what they are all doing now. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed reading this book even though it was about the pandemic and covid. Elly met a new neighbor, Zoe, who went missing. Everyone was in locked down and Nelson was home by himself. Michelle was visiting her mother and when Michelle came home she told Nelson that she wants to have a talk. We will need to read the next book in order to find out the results of their talk
pickRuth was still amazing, but I really like Nelson too. Cathbad with his peculiar personality and friendship with Nelson was adorable.
This was cozy to read, even though bad things had happened. The crime had happened several decades ago and maybe that made it easier to read about.
This was even better than the prequel and I enjoyed reading.

pick14th and penultimate book in archaeologist Ruth Galloway series finds an investigation halted in 2020 by the covid lockdown. The story around the pandemic is done well evoking that surreal period in everyone's lives and through one of the regular characters the physical effect of the virus. I'll be sorry to finish the final tale.

pickI listened to this 2nd book in the Ruth Galloway series. Ruth is a forensic archaeologist. She helped with a missing person case.and barely escaped with her life a few months ago. Now, she is called to a site in Norfolk when a child's skull is found she is called in again.
Griffiths kept me interested in the story throughout. She had good character development with Ruth.
