This was very well done. I like David Mitchell‘s droll humour and he writes well about the subject. No endnoting, but the further reading list contains some good sources. I ended up buying the audio immediately afterward with a spare Libro.fm credit 😄

If you find history is often dry but you‘re interested in learning more in a different way, look no further than this history book written by a comedian! Yup, correct historical information presented in a way you will snort-laugh your way through (at least I did). This book is a hoot!

squirrelbrain I bought this when it first came out but, of course, haven‘t read it yet. Good to hear you enjoyed it! 2w
Hooked_on_books @squirrelbrain I think “I have it but haven‘t read it yet” is the theme of my life! 😂 2w
squirrelbrain Might get a tattoo of that! 🤣 (if I was a tattoo kind of girl, that is) 2w
CarolynM @squirrelbrain I have a not yet read copy too and I totally relate to that theme @Hooked_on_books 🤣 2w

The bookish/history nerd NEED to gain the ability to time travel is strong!

Singout Stacked! I was passionate about the Tudors back in the day, but don‘t know as much about the Stewarts. 2mo
TheIntrovertedDodoBird @Singout Enjoy! You should check out the new seven-part series called Mary & George that the book inspired. It's incredible and surprisingly very historically accurate! I was passionate about the Tudors in school. I love any book that nurtures that kind of passion, especially when it's my latest history obsession. Happy reading (and learning). 2mo

This is the first book I finished for #MarvellousMarchReadathon hosted by @Andrew65. I enjoy the book. It was a quick read. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

So in the end, the first book was my favorite of the four, but this was still a satisfying conclusion. There was one plot gimmick that mildly annoyed me (see spoiler), but these books are so ridiculous that I just kept rolling with it haha 100% absurd, shallow melodrama that I totally was into 😂

TheAromaofBooks Having Beatrice wake up with amnesia meant that we literally just had her redo all the growth she had already experienced in the first three books, except compressed into one book. It just felt like McGee had run out of ways to make Bea's life complicated, so she had her start over. I actually would have been totally happy with this book being Bea and Teddy working together happily! 2mo

Soft pick for the third book in the series. This one got really repetitive to me (like I get it, being a not-white person dating white royalty is super tough, do we have to mention it in EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER??), although I did like the direction some of the drama went. So trashy, but I still am totally into it haha

TheSpineView Well done! 2mo
Yuki_Onna You're crushing it!!! 👏🤩 2mo
marleed I love these covers. I read/liked the first book in this series but have yet to find the round tuit for the 2nd book! 2mo
TheAromaofBooks @marleed - I enjoyed all four and felt like they overall had a good arc, but they also did get a little repetitive. I found them bizarrely addictive 😂 2mo
