I made pyttipanna (or pyttipannu) using the Moomins cookbook 😁: it's fish, potatoes and onions fried together, and served with beetroot, gherkins and a fried egg. Easy comfort food!

pickThis book was a great read for me at this time as my mother is her her final hours or days. The suggestions from the mother are pretty good. I don‘t think many people are ready to say goodbye that final time. The feelings of loss are real. They never go away, but they get easier as we accept our new normal. Some of the suggestions actually made me chuckle. However, many of them will be used in the coming days. 4.5/5

The Korean Fire Chicken was okay, but to be honest I didn‘t follow the broiling instructions. Next time I will because I‘m sure it makes a difference. Also, this brand of gochujang is a tad too sweet for my taste.

It also gives recipes that you can make with the ingredients from your garden! It has detailed and realistic images of children with the food they picked from the garden. This is a really good book for younger kids to learn about plants, gardening, and how food is grown!

pickThis is another beautifully illustrated Canadian cookbook that showcases multiple different Canadian chefs. The recipe I most want to make is tartiflette au fromage (cheese tart). 4.5⭐️
