I live in a downtown area so I'm always grabbing doors to help people with their arms full.
At 15, we had a yard sale. A girl of 6 asked if I had any Barbies. I wasn't planning to unload them (nostalga) but her hopeful look had me running upstairs to grab the entire box full of Barbies and her tacky clothes & accessories. I think there were a couple NKOTB dolls, too. Free to a good home. ❤

📚 I took care of a patron's printing bill today because she was having a rough time. I know it's not a big deal, but I like to think I helped make her day a little brighter! 😄💕

Last night a head teacher on Twitter posted how they were struggling, so I replied (not knowing the person or even where they were in the country) offering support and saying happy to talk anytime and support in any way I can at any time.
I made it a habit of asking people carrying havy looking bags, if they need help bringing their groceries home. I know how hard it can be walking with those heavy bags, so I always offer my help. Even helping out for a short distance often makes a big difference to people, especially to the elderly.

My dear friend lost her home in a fire a couple years ago. When the fires tore through my region in September, she sent me 10 gift cards worth $100 dollars each and asked me to hand them out to fire victims when I came across them.
Her generosity has been such a blessing to so many and also to me 🙂

As a manager I always say “Thank You for today ” to everyone for a job well done at the end of their shift No matter their role. I firmly believe it‘s the tiny little things that make a big difference to people in their day.
