so-soPerhaps this apocalyptic tale of a fungus pandemic was not the best choice of reading material during #quarantinelife — I was alternatively bored and stressed. 🤷🏻♀️
A much better nonfiction month then fiction, Doughty of course is brilliant, Roxane Gay never lets me down, and Lab Girl was a happy surprise. Fiction was a bit more of a bummer, Anxious People was wonderful, and will be a big hit in Sept. I am interested in seeing how Harpy does it is well written and provocative.
V. disappointed in Fleishman, and Rough Magic.
