This wa a low pick for me. Six friends embark on a weekend trip to an Inn for relaxation and fun but suddenly their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. As they try to find this mysterious Inn bad things start to happen and it seems they are all being picked off One By One.

The twist was still good and had a little more of a twist at the very end but it just wasn‘t my fav by McFadden.

3.8 ⭐️ I may be a little biased as I work as a therapist in a prison, which led me to wanting to smack the crap out of the FMC 90% of the time. Otherwise, it was a good thriller. Had to second guess myself a lot of times, but I wasn‘t overly surprised by the end. OK, that‘s not completely true. There was one scene that when I found out about and I was like “well damn”. Overall, a fun read, and I will try this author again in the future.

I‘m going to try to be more present, but this school year is overwhelming. Not only do I teach 3 different subjects, but I have my two out of three kiddos that need help with homework this year. I‘m still reading, but having trouble doing much else. 🥹

4✨ This book was another really good one. There was a wow factor like I have been seeing from this author in other books, but I wasn‘t as blown away. I was suspicious of one character and then he ended up dead. I was treading lightly with the other characters wondering if they could be trusted. #DogsofLitsy “Tess”

A chilling psychological thriller that delves into the events that unfolded when three 12-year-old girls ventured out to an abandoned rail yard in the dead of night. Tragically, one was found alone and severely injured, while her friends were nowhere to be found. The story unfolds through alternating perspectives, including diary entries and police reports.

11-2-25: My 71st finished book of 2025! Abby and Sam desperately want a baby but Abby is infertile and all IVF tries have failed. When their adoption fails Abby‘s assistant at the ad agency, Monica, offers to be their surrogate. What follows is a story of one woman‘s fall from grace and the other woman‘s sneaky betrayal. No one can be trusted in this story which culminates in a big surprising ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣7️⃣1️⃣

In 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬, 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢 𝐑𝐲𝐚𝐧's lead character has secrets that, if revealed, could derail her career, destroy her reputation, &/or decimate her happy family. It's a clever, twisty, thought-provoking thriller at the center of which is a sympathetic woman who fears reverberations from a choice she was forced to make many yrs. ago. Gripping & entertaining. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

At first I thought I had everything figured out. When the twist came, I exclaimed out loud in disbelief. McFadden‘s repetitious passages and phrases drive me crazy, but I like her books for the complete shockers. I can handle not the best written books if they can pack a punch, and hers does.

In this one, a young couple become stranded by a blizzard at a for sale house they wanted to see. They wait out the storm there and discover things…

This story was good, but it could have been a lot better. I didn't trust Sam at all. I was surprised by the twist. I didn't really care for the ending but it could lead to a part 2 if the author cares to do that. If I say more it will ruin it for others. Definitely worth the read.
