pickI've been an Oliver Jeffers fan since I first discovered The Incredible Book Eating Boy. I haven't loved all of his books but when he gets them right (IMO!) they're brilliant. Yesterday I sat and savoured this. It's quite long on pages, short on words but every single word carefully chosen. It's about humans and space and conflict, earth and history. A beautiful book.

This is a lovely story, but way way way way too long. I think it would have been better as a short chapter book.
This one was a new addition to our house this year. My daughter loves The Day the Crayons Quit, so of course we needed this one. It‘s very similar to the Jolly Postman book but a fun book. 26 points #merryreaders #christmasgames2020

He loves all of them, but asked to read this one before bed tonight. A cute picture book about a boy using unconventional methods to get his kite out of a tree. My son gives this a thumbs up and said, “This is like my 3rd favorite book!” ...
