What a haunting and profound book about the women who fought in ghettos during the Holocaust. Amazing feats of strength bravery and wit's allowed women to fight back against the Nazis. What an amazing story. Excellent. Loved the narrator for the audiobook. 5 ⭐ #NFN #NonFictionNov #NFN21

What an intriguing read about why and how women kill, who they kill and how they get away with it for so long. Excellent book. Recommend. #NFN21 #NFN #NonFictionNov 4.5 Stars

Wow! What a eye opening, very real account of how slavery has impacted our country and our culture in the United States. It was a very profound book, one that should be read by everyone. Very powerful. The section about Angola Prison in Louisiana was heart stopping. Excellent. #NFN21 #NFN #NonFictionNov

I enjoyed this read around civil rights law and how it needs to engage with differences and personality to ensure that people have their rights met in this new world we occupy. I was surprised they didn't mention mediation as an option to ensure folks get their rights adhered to in the workplace. Good book overall.

Shot of the typical state of my #teachersoflitsy desk: books, papers, half-eaten food, etc. Teaching this, finished a smidge past #nonfictionnov. Def a rec for the #overthis list if it's still accepting titles. Eye-opening yet empowering look at how in the US we have a monstrous trash problem, but it's a monster that every everyday person can conquer if we take a close look at our own trash creating habits & say no to the disposable economy.

BookishFeminist Def adding this to the #overthis list! With the November dumpster fire I've been working on it piecemeal so I can definitely add it since it's not a finished product yet. We got 10 pages of recs!! 😳💕 8y

Hey, Littens. I need a little advice & reading support. I've been reading "Stiff" for #nonfictionnov, but have recently felt rather conflicted about it right now because of life atm. It is a great book. But, a couple days ago, #ninjahubby's grandma passed. I want to read & then once I get a few pages in, I get uneasy & put it down. Have you ever been there, where you want to read a book but you're not in the right place to read it right then?

DeeLew Oh yes, I have been there. It's probably best to set it aside for now. So sorry for your loss. Hugs! 💓 8y
TrishB Absolutely. Not the the right time sometimes. Hugs to you ❤ 8y
KarenUK Agree... if it's just not right for now, that's ok... set it aside... sending hugs, so sorry for your loss 💕 8y

DebinHawaii So sorry about your loss. I lost my mom about a year and a half ago and there are a lot of great books that I want to read but I have passed on and have to avoid as they make me too sad, so I totally get it. My feeling is that the books will be waiting when we are ready to read them. Hugs.❤️ 8y
beaniebankbeth Thanks everyone for your support. I love the Litsy community for this very reason. I didn't know the deceased as well as I wanted to, owing to Alzheimer's on top of a language barrier. However, she was and will always be a force of love in our family. 8y

A signed first edition of one of my favorites. This was a birthday present from my husband; he's not a reader, so I was impressed! Think I'll keep him anyway ❤️ #SignedSundays #nonfictionnovember #nonfictionnov
