Not your typical WWII history book, Jones wrote on the life of Ben Kuroki. Ben grew up in Nebraska, a Nissi, and joined the Army Air Forces. He fought his way to become the only Japanese American gunner to fly 58 missions in Europe and the Pacific.

A captivating book about someone who did all he could to show his patriotism. Kuroki never had a problem growing up in Hershey, Nebraska, until Pearl Harbor. I could tell while reading this ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read book that Jones researched it well. It went into detail about the missions Kuroki flew, his life after the war, and most importantly, about the racism he faced in the Army Air Forces.

If you enjoy reading WWII history, I recommend 'Most Honorable Son' to you. I think you would enjoy it.

Intriguing mystery plot that was often pushed aside by the Coco Chanel fashion subplot. I love a historic subplot, but wasn‘t interest in this one, or the use of Chanel to move the plot along. I will say this had the best capture of a murderer that I‘ve seen in some time! While not my favorite book to come out of this series, all in all, a good cozy mystery that made for light and mildly entertaining reading. #KEnsingtonBooks

The third book in the Olive Bright series.. Weaves together life on the home-front with actual historic events, people, little-known facts from WWII, murder and romance. An entertaining and engaging read. I‘ll definitely be going back to read the others in the series. #KensingtonBooks #StephanieGraves

robinb Ohhh, I love this series! I‘ve read the others and have this arc to get to. 2y
MrsK @robinb I need to go back and read the first two! I enjoyed this but would have benefited from some backstory 🥰 2y
robinb @MrsK Yes, I think this series is one that you‘d benefit reading in order. 2y

The oh so proper, yet incredibly vibrant, Phyllida Bright is back in her second mystery. Having already read the very entertaining Murder at Mallowan Hall, I had certain expectations for this new book. Let‘s just say that I was not disappointed.
A lovely cozy mystery that pays homage to the Golden Age of Detective Fiction while giving us just a taste of Agatha Christie. #NetGalley #KensingtonBooks

A fun addition to the series, although the mystery is at times overshadowed by the romance. A #NetGalley review for #KensingtonBooks. If you‘re interested you can read my full review at https://mrskinvestigates.wordpress.com/2022/09/03/murder-at-the-majestic-hotelby...

Thank you to #Netgalley and #KensingtonBooks for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoy reading True Crime books when the author focused primarily on the victim and the hole their death left behind instead of spending all their time on the murderer and this book really lets the reader get to know the victim, Dr Mary Yoder while it takes you through all the unbelievable twists and turns of this fascinating book.

Fifth in a mystery series that I love. And even though I had deduced the villain before the end, their just desserts were especially satisfying. The plot was well rendered, the writing had a good flow, wonderful leads as well as their secondary cast, and I‘m happy that this series is progressing so nicely. Definitely recommend. 4.5/5⭐️
