Grimes spins a story of two boys, Sam and Ishmael, living in different times and lands, who both struggle with their faith as they watch their families fall apart.

Wow. This book is thought provoking.

It‘s been over fifteen years since I read this book. Too long! It is relevant and it makes you dig in and think. Will be re-reading this one.
