I've neglected this challenge after a burst of enthusiastic posting at the beginning of the month but its been a busy few weeks. So in no particular order I've gone thru my back list to reference Catherine The Great, Alan Turing (murmur is nearly slience), a ghost story in the himalayas, and a 60s folk rock group. Hopefully I'll finish June with a burst of posts !!!

Goodreads says this book takes place in Nelson County, Virginia. This picture was taken in Nelson County, Virginia. (Don‘t worry. I was a passenger, not the driver!) I don‘t know if we were technically #inthemountains or still in the foothills, but it was very pretty. #bookmoods

A memoir about a girl growing up in the Owens Valley in the shadows of the Sierra Nevadas in California. I haven‘t been camping recently but when I do we go to the Sierra Nevada mountains and every time the beauty takes my breath away. On my tbr list.

Two children set off on foot from their home in an Alpine village on Christmas Eve to visit their grandparents. On the way back they are caught in an unexpected snowstorm. This novella was first published in 1845. A great little Christmastime read.
