Enjoyed being back in the IAD world after a long time away. I loved this plucky, tough heroine who was willing to fight with all her heart for what she wanted. The grumpy demon far was pretty great too.

This was the choice for my romance book club - a vampire romance 🧛‍♂️

I would NEVER have picked this up on my own. I do not like fantasy and didn‘t enjoy those aspects of the book (hidden realms, a powerful ring, blah, blah, blah)

However, I really liked the female main character who was a mortal from Appalachia. And I didn't mind the smut 😂

I won't continue the series, but this wasn't bad

Another great installment in the Immortals After Dark series. There is witty banter and snark as always and it is so much fun. The only reason I take away a half star is the miscommunication trope, which annoys me, but I dealt with it because I really enjoyed the characters. This is #17 in the series and it really is best read in order. 4.5⭐️
