DivaDiane That looks very similar to my Realms of the Elderlings shelf! I was only able to get the 2nd two of the 20th anna era art editions of the Farseer Trilogy though and so, like you I have the smaller purple one. 6y

DivaDiane @TrishB Oh it‘s all the same thing. The Fool was in the LiveShip Traders series and some of the same characters in LiveShips and DragonKeepers. And then it all comes together in Assassin‘s Fate, doesn‘t it? (edited) 6y

Reggie This book has made me more aware of trees than I have ever been in my life. More appreciative. And depressed. Of all of the original, old growth, forests that were here in America before the settlers arrived in the 1600‘s, more than 90% of them are gone. We are down from 6 trillion trees to 3 trillion in the world. The book is a great environmental novel, check it out @Cathythoughts. I realize I‘m not doing it any favors with those stats. 6y

GatheringBooks the writing is lovely in this one, but i just can‘t get into it. technically proficient and deep, but i find it so hard to emotionally invest in the story, and i find my attention drifting- i am now a few pages in Trunk. 6y

Reggie @GatheringBooks really? I found myself crying for all of his characters. The last 100 pages kind of threw me for a loop but my heart broke many times in here for everyone. And the trees. The amount of family history he was able to supply us with for each character kinda shocked me. 6y

Kalalalatja @Mitch I love reading a Hobb series during the summer. This is the fourth one, and it doesn‘t follow Fitz and the Fool, but it follows the aftermath of the Liveship Traders Triology. At least I think so 6y

Mitch Having just finished the Liveships im so looking forward to that set. I was tempted to read it next, but think I should try to rectify reading out of order and go and acquaint myself with Fitz! 6y

Haven‘t read this yet but want to. But just like the smog that strangled London in 1952, in the summer of 2009 I felt strangled by #Igottafeeling. I had just started dating a guy and it became our theme song. We would turn on the radio in the car, it‘s on. Go to the store, it‘s on. Go dancing, it‘s on. Go inside an elevator of the hotel, it was on. And just like the guy and what we had, it got old real quick. The strangling #heatinjuly.
