This was a fun collection of bits and bobs. I found a bunch of neat spells that of COURSE my current character (a Cleric) can‘t actually use 😂 Also liked Xanathar‘s asides and the disclaimer on the copyright page.

It‘s neat to read this now that I have the 2024 ruleset to see what made it into the new rules. The chapter on « group patrons » was cool too for presenting ways to bring the party together rather than just meeting in a tavern ?

I'm going outside the box for one of my reading challenge prompts this year. I'm working through a book of logic puzzles. I'm still reading, but I'm also checking for comprehension. I couldn't bring myself to write in the book in case I pass it along when I'm done, so I'm using one of my MANY little notebooks to good use. Who's doing something similar?

Which tag is everyone using? 😁

Librarybelle I‘m using #52BookClub25 🤷🏻‍♀️ 3w
InkedBookworm13 I have volume 1 of that book, and it's pretty fun. Good luck with your puzzles. 😀 3w
mhillis That‘s so fun!! 3w

AnneCecilie I bought the first volume in this series and couldn‘t get past the first puzzle. Am I supposed to look at them as a sudoko puzzle? 3w
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @Librarybelle Thanks! Perhaps I'll join you on that hashtag. Now, if only I could get my butt in gear to actually review the few I've read.... 3w
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @InkedBookworm13 I had every intention of picking up Volume 1, but it was out of stock at the local bookstores I was visiting, so I figured Volume 2 would be a fine place to start. Good luck with your puzzles, too! 3w
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @mhillis It had been so far! A little break from just straight reading. 3w
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @AnneCecilie In a way, yes. You'll need to use the descriptions and clues to determine which person had which object and where they had it. For the beginner puzzles, each 9 square box should have one checkmark indicating yes in each row & column. Some clues will eliminate a pairing, so you can use an X. Then, you use your deduction skills. I learned these as a kid, so I didn't need to look at the instructions, but they seem OK. 3w
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @AnneCecilie If Ms X has the necklace, I'd ✅️ her box, then ❎️ out the other two suspects for the necklace. Other clues may eliminate an option, so you have to infer based on the other info provided. If you still have trouble, perhaps I can scan one of mine & email or arrange a Teams meeting to discuss it with you. The larger ones may prove more troublesome, but the beginner ones should be easier to catch into one you pick up how to do them. 3w

Here is February's #ISpyBingo board!! A reminder that you can play these however you like, but I encourage covering multiple prompts with one book if you can!!

BarbaraBB Thanks! I have matches all my unread books to a 2025 prompt in Storygraph but don‘t have read all the books I could match to a January prompt! 4w
Faranae Goodness, I've been forgetting to add books to my challenges, this and even *my own* haha. Grabbing the February board is a good reminder, thank you! 4w

Picked up a book way way out of my comfort zone and domain, so I am definitely not the correct person to be critical of this read!

I‘ve laughed so many times already and I‘m only 18% into it.

RamsFan1963 I read this years ago, but I still remember the part about putting ferrets down your pants as a competition lol 2mo
BoldCityBooks @RamsFan1963 I have laughed so hard at this stupid book. The Bull Poker chapter had a coworker and me in tears today. 2mo

Repost for @TheAromaofBooks

Whoops, already dropping the ball on posting the #ISpyBingo board each month 😂 Here is January's board!! You can play this however you like - I personally let a single book fill as many prompts as it can, or you can do one prompt per book, whatever you like best!! If you want all 12 boards for the year, let me know and I'll post the link!!
