It's hard to know if I #feelitstill for Gatsby, a novel I haven't reread since high school, but seems to have never left the broader cultural conversation. My high opinion of it hasn't changed, but I think I view the symbols a little differently: Dr. Eckleberg and the green light don't seem nearly as romantic now- I almost wonder whether it's dangerous to be exposing impressionable teenagers to them. The novel's last line sticks in my head more.

Everytime i recommend & talk about this great book i feel it still. How can i not? The book itself gives you so many feels while reading.

The weirdness that is the Heaven's Gate Cult I #feelitstill initially I thought today's prompt was #feellitstill 🔥 I think that's just as fitting. At the start it did sound pretty lit, we're just hanging out on Earth until our spaceship picks us up to take us into outer space, seems pretty chill until Marshall tells you to put on your Nikes, eat the laced apple sauce, and put the plastic bag over your head.. 👽 it's been fun, bitches! ✌🏻#aprella

Taking inspiration from the years mentioned in the lyrics, here are the best-selling fiction books from 1966 & 1986. (These are their original covers.) People definitely feel it still for both of these books! One day I will reread them both. 📚📚📚

My Mum and I used to read Barbara Erskine together. This was her very loved and well read copy of her favourite. It was on her bed side cabinet when we cleared her flat after she died and I had to keep it (despite having 3 copies of my own!).
