I was a little confused at the beginning, mainly because of the characters that are introduced all at once, but once I got into the story it all became much clearer.

The plot of this book is just crazy and that‘s the genius of it. I don‘t know how Emily Bronte came up with this story but it‘s insane. The more I read, the wilder it got. My mind is still reeling

JenniferEgnor This will always be one of my favorites. The tragedy of it! Violence, obsession, ghosts. The most recent film adaptation was the best I‘ve seen. I have an old edition from B&N that you can‘t find anymore. The beautiful black & white photo of a man standing by one lone tree on the moors looking out has always stayed with me. 1y

Eliza May Drayden is already dead when the novel opens in Yorkshire, 1847. We get to know her through the lives of others, and through biographies and articles about her, for she wrote an exceptional novel. Very little is known about Eliza‘s life, and the circumstances under which she died. Apart from her novel, the only text she left behind is a mysterious notebook.

Inspired by the life and work of Emily Brontë this is quite a unique novel.

Centique The boat looks so lovely too. 💕 Do you sail a lot? I would love to do a boat trip in Europe with my family but my husband is used to driving motorboats rather than yachts - so probably have to rent some kind of launch. 🤔 1y
BarbaraBB @Centique We go sailing every other summer, it‘s my husband‘s big passion. The Mediterranean is fantastic to sail, especially Greece with all its small islands. There are lots of motorboats for rent too. Would be a great trip for your family. If you ever decide to do so, let me know. Maybe I can be of help! 1y

#WeeklyForecast 36/23

My last forecast from Greece. I am almost finished reading both The Hummingbird (loving it like you knew I would Cindy 💕) and the tagged one, a Dutch chunkster that has won all the literary prices - and rightfully so.
Next will be the first #EuropaCollective read, except for the fact I don‘t have the Europa edition.
If there‘s time, I‘ll read All the Sinners Bleed.
