mom2bugnbee Your favorite show may be Doctor Who, but I spy a Sherlock mug in your hands. 😉 #Wholockian 7y
laurieluna @mom2bugnbee got it in my Fairyloot box. I've dropped so many things in my 3rd trimester this is the only cup I use now because it's metal. I do love a bit of Sherlock though! 😄 7y

mom2bugnbee @miralunasbooknook I love Doctor Who (Number 10!), but I am completely & utterly #Sherlocked. (#Cumberbatched #BlameBenedict 😉) And when I was pregnant, my husband wouldn't let me handle the fine china because I dropped *everything*, so I totally get it! Congrats! 7y
laurieluna @mom2bugnbee thanks! 😄 Yeah I've been banned from using anything but the plain pint glasses because I've smashed 2 of my partners favourites 🙈 I've also chipped bowls and smashed a few plates...we'll be eating out of the pans soon 😂 7y
I-read-and-eat ❤ Fleetwood Mac, and do you still play WoW? I played it for years and even met my boyfriend there 🙈 7y
laurieluna @I-read-and-eat my partner still does when he's away but all my spare time is now given to my books. Nothing wrong with that. Met my partner in a night club 8 years ago...but we exchanged WoW handles insteaf of phone numbers 😂 he gifted me 3 kittens in game and thats how I knew ❤ 7y
I-read-and-eat @miralunasbooknook My BF still plays as well, I can't really get into it anymore. I love your love story! In game kittens really are love 😂 7y
JPeterson @miralunasbooknook WoW was how I got through college and my first year moving away from everyone for my first "adult" job. I keep debating about re-activating it, but have so little spare time. 7y
laurieluna @JPeterson I played it through uni. I would love to go back on but when I have kids TV on all day the last thing I want to stare at is another screen. Thats why I chose books! 7y
Scurvygirl Cross Stitch and Legos!! 💜💜 7y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Since I discovered litsy I'm never on Facebook!!! I love Fleetwood Mac 💕 7y
laurieluna @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I'm the same with instagram. Hardly post on it these days. I did have Facebook, but I deleted it at the beginning of April because it was just getting to be a load of advertising and propaganda. I found a way to fully delete your profile, not just deactivate it, so all of my pictures etc are deleted. Fleetwood Mac are love. 😍 7y
laurieluna @Scurvygirl I love building and crafting things. My favourite lego set I own is my birds. They were one of the lego ideas sets. They're on top of my bookcases 😄 7y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I took my instagram app off my phone!! I still have facto keep with my two girls, but rarely even look at it!! The adds and the drama!!!! And people just being nosy!!! 7y
laurieluna @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks yep! It was starting to feel like a keeping up with the Jones competition on there and I just couldn't be bothered to keep up. No one is ever who they are on their facebook profile. 7y
Scurvygirl @miralunasbooknook I do love my legos! I go to a knitting retreat with my mom every year and there are other classes besides knitting. I learned that I am a maker. I've been crafting for years and dabble in every form. So I guess this is the term. 😹 7y
laurieluna @Scurvygirl I would love to go to a retreat sometime. I also dabble in knitting and crochet. Tried painting, jewellery making, and card making too but wasn't much good. It always comes back to cross stitch. I find it the easiest and the most theraputic. Nothing like stabbing a piece of Aida with a needle over and over again 😂 x 7y
Scurvygirl @miralunasbooknook I hear that!💚 7y
alisiakae I used to dog-ear. 😱😱and I love Legos, too! I am sorely tempted to buy the new Creator carousel set, but it is so expensive. 7y
laurieluna @4thhouseontheleft I've seen the carousel! It's beautiful. We have all the Christmas lego and there was a christmas market a few years ago with one in. Totally worth it, they're beautiful. 7y

For me it will always be Sherlock Holmes. My mom gave me my first Holmes story when I was in fourth grade and I've been in love ever since.

Mehso-so

So. This is a hard one to rate. I didn't love it... but it was narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch. Just scroll through my feed, & you'll understand. 😉 I very well might have bailed if I were reading it instead of listening to it. But... BC's voice. *swoon*

Good news is that it satisfies several challenges! List in first comment. #blameLitsy #BlameBenedict #Cumberbatched

mom2bugnbee #LitsyAtoZ - V (true title is "The Venetian Years"), #MMDReadingforFun - Don't want to admit I'm dying to read (or listen), #ReadtheClassics - Set in a place you'd like to visit 8y
Shaunesay I was considering getting this one, because BC reads it. 8y

Everything sent to me by @Kris10 during #CupidGoesPostal that I didn't get to read last month because life was busy. Plus continuing #hpchapteraday.

I'm also listening to Casanova read by -- you guessed it -- Benedict Cumberbatch. *swoon* #Cumberbatched #BlameBenedict

Kris10 Happy reading!! 8y

Why thank you, Audible. I think I will listen to this next. 😂#audiobook

AprilMae Um, what??? 😮📚🎧 8y
haileybean @AprilMaesBookHabit I KNOW. There's a full cast production of Mansfield Park with Benedict Cumberbatch and David Tennant, too. (edited) 8y
mom2bugnbee I own this & it is amazing. So is the Mansfield Park you've referenced. All of Jane Austen's novels are available as BBC radio dramatizations, & while the others don't have quite as famous of a cast, I thoroughly enjoyed them all. Would have LOVED to have heard Cumberbatch as Darcy & Tennant as Bingley, however! 😍 #Cumberbatched #BlameBenedict 8y

When I think of #royals in literature, my mind immediately goes to Shakespeare's plays about the incredibly dysfunctional kings of England. It doesn't hurt that recent BBC adaptations include these amazing actors: Benedict Cumberbatch as Richard III, Tom Hiddleston as Henry V, and Jeremy Irons as Henry IV. #readjanuary #day18 #BlameBenedict #Cumberbatched

Read.Em.And.Eat <3 <3 cumberbatched indeed \uD83D\uDE0D 8y
mom2bugnbee @Katianna I have a serious problem. And I share it with my 14yo, which might be a bit creepy, but he's closer to my age than hers, so... 8y
Read.Em.And.Eat I don't think it's creepy at all! He is a fantastic actor and has proven time and time again that he's also a wonderful human being - which sadly is not always the case. 8y

Pickpick

Tired of my #Sherlock posts? Sorry... that's what happens when you get on a roll, reading them all chronologically!

And that season/series(?) finale of my favorite show -- no spoilers! -- mercy. The best episode yet, IMO. Which is why I would be satisfied if this is indeed the end. #Sherlocked #Cumberbatched #BlameBenedict

Kalalalatja It was so good! My mouth was hanging open the entire time, I just couldn't believe what was happening 😱 8y
mom2bugnbee @Kalalalatja Right? I've watched the entire episode twice & the last 10 minutes at least half a dozen times. 8y
Kalalalatja I haven't rewatched it, but I have been thinking about it all day! I just want more 🤞 8y

mom2bugnbee @Kalalalatja I know. My 14yo fangirl daughter follows everyone of import on social media, & she says that everyone (cast & crew) would very much like to do more but aren't sure if they can logistically manage it. Therefore, it was written so that it could end here if necessary, but more story can always be written. 8y
Kalalalatja @mom2bugnbee here's to hoping! But it is a good place to end, if it really has to. 8y
ruthemmielang I just watched the finale! So sad it's over 😭 8y

Sherlock: Chronicles | Steve Tribe

Thoughts?

I'll post my thoughts in the comments, spoiler tagged. Please spoiler tag as well if you respond! #sherlock

Loretta I thought that the central family mystery of this episode was great. I loved watching Sherlock struggle to remember Eurus and also what 'Red Beard' meant. Sherlock's interactions with his brother (who was incredibly brace trying to induce Sherlock to kill him) were fantastic and tugged at my heart more than all their other interactions. 8y
Loretta We're used to seeing John as the heart and soul of the show, but in this episode that was mostly Sherlock. He had to tap into his childhood memories when, we are told, he was very emotional. This brings up his more caring impulses. He wants to save David's wife, not just solve the puzzle. He wants to save the 3 men dangling over the ocean. Not only does he want to save Molly, he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. 8y
Loretta Ultimately, I found the airplane story and the 'twist' about what it meant really annoying. The rest of the episode was so stellar and this was a clunker. But I LOVED ❤️💖💔 Mary's speech at the end about the importance of their legend and the last-resort help they provide. 8y

mom2bugnbee My daughter, who is a huge fan & follows everyone of import on social media, told me that the cast & crew would like to do another season, but they're simply not sure if they can logistically pull it off. Therefore, they wrote this one with a tidy ending in the event that it ends up being the series finale. They can always add more story if needed. 8y
mom2bugnbee Anyone who glances at my time line knows that I am unabashedly #Sherlocked & #Cumberbatched. I cried through this entire episode. (Admittedly, I cry easily.) I think that it was the best one to date & I was completely satisfied with the ending if it does end up being the last episode. 8y
mom2bugnbee @Loretta I'm with you regarding the interactions btw the Holmes brothers. I thought that Mark Gatiss was brilliant in this episode. It killed me when Sherlock complimented him on his performance in the play & Mycroft realized he wasn't being snarky. They were wonderful together, particularly tonight. 8y
Dogearedcopy Overall, ***there were some truly fine writing & acting moments in S4***; but at other times they went a touch too far with the melodrama; and the effort to get everything in seemed a little forced. In ep3 in particular, the child in the plane thing was a bit ham-fisted; and the final sequence superfluous and anti-climatic. I actually think Sherlock should stop here. I think the effort to outdo the previous season each season is taking its toll. 8y
Loretta @Dogearedcopy Yes, the child in the plane was definitely the biggest misstep of the episode. And overall the plot didn't hold together particularly well. I'm trying to focus on the moments of human connection, however, which were wonderful. 8y
Loretta @mom2bugnbee Absolutey. Best part of the episode, by far, were all the interactions between Sherlock, John and Mycroft. 8y
Dogearedcopy @Loretta The individual tests; and face-to-face encounters between Sherlock & Euros were my favorite. I wanted it to end w/Sherlock & Euros playing a violin duet! I would have cut the scenes with the parents, and the ones with Alicia Snowden; and added something a bit "more" with Irene Adler ? 8y
