Originally read couple of years after getting home from 🇬🇧, made me want to read whole series in order. I've enjoyed rereading because Jane goes to Chatsworth. It's had me reminiscing about my visit there.

After visiting Chatsworth and Lyme Park, I often mused which one was the Inspiration for Pemberley this quote seems to answer:
"Chatsworth has been suggested for Pemberley, because Jane Austen teasingly placed it in the vicinity of Bakewell, but Darcy was no Duke of Devonshire and Chatsworth could not be kept up even on £10,000 a year."

While the Maze wasn't there in Jane Austen's time. It certainly adds to the the celebrated 'beauties of Chatsworth.' The Maze is located on the site of Paxton's Great Conservatory. Had planned to read this before our trip to England. Glad that I didn't get to it. Now that I have seen Chatsworth I could picture it in my mind. I had read 1st in this series ages ago. • Just booked not one but two visits to @chatsworthofficial 🙌 I was determined to see the House Style exhibit before it ended and thus will be doing next month!
