pickI absolutely adored this gentle, beautiful book. An older man has a travelling library that tours through rural and northern Quebec. After meeting a travelling troupe of performers from France, they join him on his journey. This is a story of loneliness and the love of books (and cats!) and opening oneself to companionship in later life. Absolutely gorgeous.
There is nothing better than a weekend with few responsibilities and some terrific books.
