Bk6 of #Scarathlon is done. This was amazing! It starts with DS Kate Miles returning to work after being shot in Torrent(Bk1)& having an emergency Caesarian. Things aren‘t great at home, she‘s having panic attacks & her dads in a scandal. Then a baby goes missing & everything just goes to shit. I didn‘t guess the end at all, it was brilliantly done. This was a reread for me, it has been many years. I didn't fully remember what happened until I started reading it, but quickly did so, and it allowed me to see the clues that I might have missed the first time.

I really liked this book. It was a sweet holiday romance. I liked how the author wrote herself into the main character and I enjoyed learning more about Jewish faith and Hanukkah.

The Meg Langslow series is my favorite cozy mystery series and this latest one is another pick. A famous painter has taken up residence in Meg's library while he paints birds for a book that Meg's grandfather is writing. He is a completely unlikable guy who has several enemies, so of course he is the victim. I love the antics of Meg's large, crazy family and the humor. #wintergames2021 #mistletoemaniacs @Clwojick #WGwordsearch

I really enjoyed this book. Taking place in Edinburgh, we have Carmen, who is floundering and insecure when compared to her perfect, successful sister Sofia,helping try to turn a profit at a struggling bookstore.We get to explore the rivalry between them as Carmen stays with Sofia. Throw in Mr. McCredie, Sofia's children, a holistic nanny, and a couple of love interests for Carmen and we have a nice little holiday story.

This witchy start to a YA series by collaborating authors was my final book finished for January! While some parts of it were more predictable than others, I had fun listening and I am curious to see where the series goes from here!

Overall January was a great month for reading- 25 books finished with ten of them being five star reads! Plus my #bookishfirstbingo card has five bingos! #bulletjournal #bookstats #bujo
