I've been racking my brain for #aneeyorekindofread and I just can't think of one. So you get an Eeyore picture instead. #aprilbookshowers

#aprilbookshowers day 28: #aneeyorekindofread
While the general air of this series is relatively hopeful, there is one character I would think Eeyore would approve of, and that is Doli of the "fair folk", the curmudgeonly dwarf
So, due to the way Mr. Martin treats his characters (in general), I dub his GOT books #AnEeyoreKindOfRead #aprilbookshowers (though I love the series, too!!)
I thought all day about #aneeyorekindofread for #aprilbookshowers, and I just kept coming back to this one. This is an amazing book that I'm certain helped keep me alive during some of my darkest days. She explains how our brains trick us, (especially those of us with chemical imbalances that cause crippling #depression) and how we can outsmart our brain and get it to, for lack of a better term, STFU.
And for today's #AprilBookShowers post, I've been wracking my brain, but I just don't think I own any super depressing books. So for #AnEeyoreKindOfRead I give you, Tales of Winnie-the-Pooh. 😜 @RealLifeReading
A Series of Unfortunate Events is #aneeyorekindofread because...well, don't the titles say enough?
But I also had to include Emma because although the book as a whole isn't Eeyore-like, Emma's dad is one of the most Eeyore-like characters I can think of: rather lovably and ridiculously pessimistic. He's particularly great in this BBC miniseries version (played by Michael Gambon).

"The silence depressed me. It wasn't the silence of silence. It was my own silence." I love Sylvia Plath and this book, but it is #aneeyorekindofread for its subject matter. #aprilbookshowers
#aneeyorekindofread #aprilbookshowers well this is definitely an Eeyore character, Marvin the depressed robot. Alan Rickman did the voice work in the movie, and he does gloomy better than anyone 😀photo credit YouTube movie still
"The world is always ending for someone."

An acclaimed filmmaker is racing the clock trying to finish his masterwork of a script, about a village awaiting the end of the world in the year 999, before he dies of cancer
Signal to Noise is absolutely #anEeyoreKindofRead #AprilBookShowers
The glue holding my original copy came apart so I used the pages to decorate my sophomore dorm room. This is a much sturdier hardcover.
