I started listening to the tagged book on my walk to say hello to the strawberry super moon tonight 🌝 I am reading it for my #booked2022 #aboutarealorfictionalroyal prompt. In a way this book is both! It‘s not my normal thing but I‘m actually enjoying it more then expected so far.

pickA fascinating look at twelfth century politics in England, culminating in the White Ship disaster that completely changed the trajectory of the Royal dynasty at the time. Fair warning, though: there are so many Henry‘s and William‘s and Matilda‘s that, unless you‘re well-versed in this history, it could get a tad confusing. But, this is also a time of upheaval, and Spencer lays it out well. Great history! #Booked2022 #AboutARealOrFictionalRoyal

Skip to the 90s and a new raunchy TV series begins in which he consults. As well as the story of Catherine this story goes into post war + post wall Russia.

pickA murder takes place in Windsor Castle and Queen Elizabeth is determined to find the perpetrator with the help of her aide Rozie. This was an enjoyable cozy with a great audiobook narrator. pickPart of the Castle Glower series. A griffin is born in the tower and the castle unveils the secrets it has been holding for so long.
This one ends on a cliffhanger, so it's a good thing I have the next book on hand.

pickEverything we know about Cleopatra is as it relates to the men in her life. Schiff has done a good job of going through the surviving documents to put together a portrait of a woman that is more than just a sexual temptress. We learn how this Macedonian woman came to rule such a wealthy kingdom and that Egypt was very strong under her rule, but we never truly understand the true motivations behind her actions. If the time period is ⬇️
