The story is full of wonders, suspense, adventure, and mystery all centered around a 12-year old girl. This is a new version of the Peter Pan story starting with Wendy returning from Neverland without John and Michael. I listened to the audiobook and it was excellent. Peter comes back for Wendy‘s help…again. This book kind of makes the fairytale make sense. I can‘t say more without spoiling. I had so many emotions while reading this book. I was fascinated, distressed, shocked... I loved it. That said, I had to knock off a star because it was brutal. Trigger warning for abuse.

This book had so much potential and starts really strong. This is an epic romance fantasy and very original world building. However, midway it drags and the main character‘s conflict just becomes annoying. There are also major points of the end I strongly dislike. *Content warning for assault (off page) and spoiler in comment.

Not sure what I expected from this book, but it wasn‘t what I got. The other Christina Lauren books I have read were funny and light-hearted, but this was deep - at least IMHO. You really got to hear how Tanner thought and felt and how Sebastian struggled with his sexuality. Third in the Cursebreakers series by Brigid Kemmerer! I did it! I finished another series…unless she‘s writing another one. This book had a lot more violence in parts, but Gray, Wren & Harper wove their way into my heart as always. This book was almost painfully dull. It had a lot of promise but is so tedious and had a lot of repetitive text. I probably would have bailed but this was my #bookspin pick, so I was determined to finish. Another #audiojune pick finished as well. #romantsy #bookspinbingo
