I am terribly behind on the #GoldenAgeCrimeClub books, but I finally finished one (several months late…but oh well).

At first, I had great difficulty following the storyline. The characters are pretty terrible people too. But, once I became accustomed to the writing style, I had to find out what happened. And all of the red herrings and utter craziness of everyone…well, let‘s just say I did not expect the ending. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Librarybelle I was also a bit shocked with a few of the gruesome things that happen. I gasped out loud with one - admittedly, I‘ve been reading a lot of cozy mysteries lately, so a lot less violence! 😂 #192025 #1949 1y

I found the plot to be convoluted in a rather unbelievable way but I really liked the writing style and the characters. Very grateful to @mitch and #goldenagecrimeclub for introducing me to this author and will definitely read more of her books.

I love The Sound of Music, and enjoyed reading the true story of the Trapp Family! After coming to America from Austria, they traveled all over the country performing concerts, and bought a farm in Vermont.

TheAromaofBooks Haven't read this one in a long time, but I keep meaning to come back to it. She wrote a sequel as well! I couldn't believe how all the events from The Sound of Music only take the first few chapters of the book. Such an eventful life!
