#12booksof21 #12booksof2021 December

In a crazy month this book tickled my reading muscles in a way not much else has in a while.

Thank you @Andrew65 for hosting this. It has been a fun look back.

Andrew65 Looks great. See you same time next year. It has been a food way to review the Reading year last year. 3y

Mary Oliver‘s books of poetry are usually at the top of my lists and November was no different!

Andrew65 Great to see poetry represented. 3y

Another favorite audio of 2021 🙌🏻 I debated between this audio and Will by Will Smith for my favorite of November but the Grohl was just slightly better for me. A delightful listen 🎧

Lizpixie I‘ve just listened to this as my 1st book of 2022 & freaking LOVED it! I mean, the 90s weren‘t that far past the 80s #oncean80sgirlalwaysan80sgirl #exceptwhenimagrungegirl 3y
Cinfhen It‘s AWESOMENESS and I LOVE the new hashtag xxxx @Lizpixie (edited) 3y

This modern day version of Austen‘s Persuasion set in Tobago worked so well. It was great on audio!

Andrew65 Great choice. 3y

I really loved the characters in this book. I‘ll have to re-read this one in a year or two to see if it holds up to the five star rating I gave it last September.

This was a tough call, but this treasure hunt memoir eventually won out because I happened to listen to it with my family while driving around Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah.

Bookwormjillk Very close runner up was 3y

Another book I would have never read if it weren‘t for #FoodAndLit

The life of Svetlana Alliluyeva (aka Stalin‘s daughter) was bizarre and tumultuous, and this doorstop of a book flew by.

Andrew65 This must have been interesting. 3y
TrishB This looks really interesting. 3y
Texreader Similarly I loved her Only One Year. Her life was so interesting and I‘m so glad I read it 3y
Bookwormjillk @Texreader I‘ll have to read that one too! 3y

I‘ll always remember this book as the one I read while waiting for my post vaccination fevers to go away. This one just took me away to another world.

Andrew65 Sounds brilliant. Stacked. 3y

My favourite read of April was this crime novel set in colonial India.
